The rimu timbers of this colonial homestead seem to whisper history. Built in 1926 for the Paganini family Holly Homestead is an excellent example of "Arts & Crafts" architecture mixed with casual country chic. You can feel that the people who lived here over the years lived well.

Your hosts Gerard and Bernadine (Bernie) Oudemans have tenderly refurbished the house and created a boutique B&B only three minutes drive from Franz Josef Glacier village. Choose from one of the king, queen or twin rooms; or the new deluxe super-king suite for that extra bit of decadence. All rooms have their own private ensuite, crisp linen and cosy bathrobes provided.

Start your adventure in Glacier Country with breakfast at the wooden farmhouse table and enjoy the charm of a country kitchen complete with fresh baking. On a clear day you’ll be entranced by the view of the Southern Alps and the Franz Josef Glacier Nevé.

Gerard and Bernie are NZ born and enjoy meeting and hosting people from all over the world. They can suggest just the right activities to suit you and your holiday style. Go exploring at your own pace and return home to an alpine sunset before retiring with a glass of port to the guest lounge and your welcoming bed.

West Coast Wildlife Centre is home to NZ's rarest Kiwi (the Rowi), includes Noctural House and Glacier displays.
Okarito Kiwi Tours - guided trip into Kiwi habitat, starts at sunset. Seeing just one Rowi in the wild is a privilege.
Flowing West movie - an armchair "ride" through Glacier Country.
Glacier Hot Pools - relaxation surrounded by the forest canopy. Massage therapy & private pools available.
Scenic Flights: Fixed wing and/or helicopter OR Tandem Sky-Dive from 12,000, 15,000 or 18,000 feet !!
Glacier hikes: eco tour, half day, full day or heli-hike (also ice climbing for the extreme adventurer).
