Kahotea House has 2 large , comfortable rooms Hinemaia and Tongariro situated upstairs. Both have
views across Lake Taupo. Each room has a queen sized bed, own en suite, TV and tea and coffee making
facilities.
Full breakfast using New Zealand produce and an evening meal may be ordered by
arrangement.
Kahotea House specialise in 'just us' weddings for the bride and groom
All year round fishing on Lake Taupo, either fly fishing the rivers Hinemaiaia or the world
famous Tongariro river, nearby Tauranga-Taupo. Your hosts Richard and Shirley-Ann can arrange a fly
fishing guide for first time fishers with all the equipment plus a picnic lunch, or arrange a boat
trip to fish on the lake.
Golfers have the choice of the following courses. Wairakei, Taupo -
Centennial and Tauhara, Kinloch and Turangi.
Kahotea House is situated close to the mountains
of the north island central plateau and has access in the winter to skiing and snowboarding. In
summer kayaking, tramping, cycling and rafting.
