Miria and Taroi of Moanarua Beach Cottage offer you a romantic hideaway nestled between the Ocean and the Harbour in sunny Ohope beach, in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

You are welcome to use our BBQ, luxury spa and to enjoy the beautiful views from the decks.

There are kayaks for hire and a boat for harbour cruises and fishing trips. Wander about our award winning garden.

Chat with us about local history and our contemporay Maori art works.

Widely travelled, we love sharing stories. Dine at local cafes, try a 'hangi' with us or simply lay back with TV, CD's or magazines provided in your own private 'whare'.

Continental breakfast supplied in your cottage to be enjoyed at your leisure.

Taroi and I are passionate about this beautiful place and as tangata whenua of the area we enjoy sharing our knowledge.

Explore our local harbour, learn the local history, paddle down one of our beautiful rivers, fish or just have fun.

At Moanarua we offer fishing trips and harbour tours for up to three people.
